**Oil falls second day as rising virus cases spur demand worries**

 

 

Rising coronavirus cases heading into the northern winter has many seeing a cause for concern with oil posting its second loss this week as infections see unprecedented rises that will most likely curd the rebound of demand for fuel and oil products. Both crude benchmarks fell over 3% on Tuesday as US presidential elections and further lockdowns loom. (Reuters)

 

** Japan’s August crude imports rebound amid oil product demand recovery**

 

 

Japan’s demand for crude and its products rebounded significantly in august during the summer months, with imports recovering to 2.36 million barrels per day, up 13% in July which was the lowest level seen in more than 50 years. Year on year, august imports were down 23.9% which was the lowest level for 32 years in data released on 30th September by the country’s ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. (S&P Global Platts)
