Just when it looked like U.S. shale explorers were settling in for slower growth the rest of this year, the oil-rig count jumped the most in four months.

Okeanis prepares for ‘significant’ tanker market improvements by the autumn (Tradewinds)

 

Greece’s Okeanis Eco Tankers is increasing spot exposure as it forecasts “significant” boosts to tanker rates by late autumn. The executive said 79% of the company’s fleet days are available for spot deals in 2022 as the organisation prepares for a “very strong recovery”. Going on to say “Cargo is King” When cargoes come to market in the quantity and for as long and consistently as they’ll come through year end 2022, good things tend to happen in the VLCC spot market.
