OIL DAYBOOK EUROPE: Shell’s Storm Damage Spurs Replacement Hunt (Bloomberg)
Royal Dutch Shell Plc warned that production from two of its largest Gulf of Mexico fields won’t resume until next year after Hurricane Ida inflicted “significant structural damage.” That’s led to crude tankers from Mexico, Iraq and Brazil lining up to take advantage of the prolonged absence of one of the most popular grades of offshore U.S. crude.
