OIL DAYBOOK EUROPE: Asia Jet Fuel Recovery Grounded by Flare-Ups (Bloomberg)

Jet-fuel demand in Asia suffered a blow last month as the delta coronavirus variant flared, prompting airlines to cut back on services and forcing local refiners to ship more of the unwanted fuel to the U.S. and Europe.

 

SUPERTANKER TRACKER: China, U.S. Flows Gain; Japan, India Drop (Bloomberg)

The number of supertankers signaling China as their next destination edged higher, while vessels headed for the U.S. also gained, according to ship-tracking data compiled by Bloomberg. Tankers headed for India and Japan declined.  * 91 supertankers are bound for China in the coming three months, according to data from Friday, adding one compared with Aug. 20
